Canadian Dental Care Plan Details From Meadows Dental Group
If you or a family member qualifies for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), you could be eligible to receive coverage for essential dental care. This plan was created to help Canadians without private dental insurance access important and low-budget preventive and restorative services.
From routine checkups to oral surgery, the CDCP is designed to reduce financial barriers and support optimal oral health for millions of families across Canada!
What Services Are Covered Under The CDCP?
The CDCP includes a broad range of personalized dental services, such as:
- Preventive: Exams, cleanings, and routine X-rays
- Restorative: Fillings, root-canal treatment, and dental crowns
- Prosthodontic: Dentures and denture repairs
- Oral Surgery: Wisdom-teeth removal and extractions
- Sedation: Minimal and moderate sedation solutions
Orthodontic services are not yet available under the CDCP. They are expected to be added in 2025 and will only be covered for medically necessary cases that meet specific criteria.
Who Qualifies For The Plan?
To be eligible, you must meet all four of the following requirements:
- Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000
- You’re a Canadian resident
- You do not have access to dental insurance
- You and your spouse or common-law partner (if applicable) must have filed Canadian tax returns so your family income can be assessed for the previous year
